Overview
The Avon Maitland District offers an education focused exclusively on students graduating successfully. Their mission is to engage, inspire, and innovate, and so students, staff, and parents must be "always learning."
It has an ESL program (program for international students to adopt English as a second language), where they evaluate each student to determine the level of support they need. English is taught in small groups of only 4-5 students, and all of them have individual support with an academic coordinator, who works so that the school and the student meet their expectations.
Academic subjects are offered in all areas of study and specialized programs in art, culture, business, communications, health, agriculture, culinary arts, and transportation. Its schools (9 High Schools and 31 Elementary School) are located in small cities and towns, thus providing student safety and a good environment. Recognized for his academic level and for programs in music, theater, technology, business, mathematics and science.
International students who attend Avon Maitland Schools live and learn in a city rich in culture and tradition, and above all within a safe and friendly small-town environment. The district has an attractive mix between rural and urban areas with a cozy lifestyle, but very close to the attractions that the main cities offer.
